In Roman Imperial cult, the flamen Divi Julii or flamen Divi Iulii, was the priest of the divinised Julius Caesar, and the fourth of the so-called flamines maiores (the archpriests of the Roman flaminates) to be created.
At the end of the 1950s, Fenemore appeared in two of the early Carry On films, notably in a memorable, albeit brief, cameo in Carry On Nurse (1959) as a wife visiting her husband in hospital, supremely oblivious to the absurdly snobbish impression of upper middle class gentility he has been trying to give his fellow patients, and blithely broadcasting embarrassingly working class trivia at full volume to the entire ward ("I bought this with our divi from the Co-op!") as he cringes in humiliation.
His works include Bell’Epoker (2003), a satire about the 1991 Teatro Petruzzelli fire, Focaccia Blues (2009), a documentary about a successful focaccia shop in Altamura which forced the local McDonald's shop to close due to lack of customers, and Rudy Valentino - Divo dei divi (2017), a film starring Claudia Cardinale and Alessandro Haber about a little-known 1923 trip of Rudolph Valentino in his hometown.
